About realtime PCR Consumables
Categories
As real-time PCR (qPCR) uses fluorescence to measure nucleic acid amplification, specialized consumables are required to get the highest sensitivity.
The white wells of our twin.tec® real-time PCR (qPCR) plates help reflect fluorescent signal upwards towards the detector, which improves signal intensity. They also reduce background noise to provide higher consistency between replicates for more reproducible results. Our Masterclear® cap strips offer high optical transparency to minimize signal loss.
The wells of our real-time PCR consumables are made of high-purity polypropylene and are ‘PCR clean’. This means they are batch-tested and certified by an independent laboratory to be free of a range of common PCR contaminants, including DNA, DNAse, RNAse and PCR inhibitors. Products that are labeled ‘forensic DNA grade’ fulfil the requirements for ISO 18385. Plate frames are made of polycarbonate for extra rigidity.
